Job Responsibilities :

Purpose of the Role - To manage operations for specific projects at sites with the objective of meeting cost, quality and capacity requirements while adhering to project budgets and timelines and in alignment with RIL project management standards

Responsibilities -

  • Policies, Processes and Procedures -

- Assist in formulation of project plan and ensure day-to-day execution in line with function standards & regulations

- Implement new initiatives/ projects as per established policies to meet future requirements of the project

- Provide inputs for improvements in business processes, specifications and best practices

  • Project Operations  -

- Plan and lead requirements, design, reports, budgets and project schedule for specific projects at the plant

- Coordinate with cross functional teams such as Operations and Maintenance for project related activities to ensure smooth implementation

- Collaborate with JEC/Engineering & procurement group to ensure timely availability of Engineering and project

- Assist maintenance group for conducting maintainability studies for the project

- Ensure quality execution of project activities (e.g. - assure quality of spares with tests and inspection records) as per plan and take corrective actions in case of any gaps

- Harmonize standards for equipment from different vendors and product groups in order to drive seamless execution and integration to RIL infrastructure

- Release Material / Service PRs & service entries as per project requirements in accordance with RIL policy

- Participate in review meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination between teams and report progress (performance monitoring) to the leadership

- Oversee handover of projects to relevant teams and provide post-closure support as per requirement

  • Compliance & Reporting -

- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is fulfilled for the project and highlight any case of non-compliance

- Drive ownership for HSE compliance (RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings) for the project in alignment with organization HSE policy

- Adhere to internal and external audit schedules, review outcomes and take actions to rectify any audit red flags

- Maintain records and documentation for project management activities and drive data management of critical assets, job history, learning records, reports, etc.

  • People Management  -

- Participate in recruitment activities & ensure retention / engagement of own team

- Set performance objectives of own team, evaluate / appraise team members and provide regular feedback & guidance

- Guide, mentor and develop own team to take larger and complex responsibilities

- Evaluate training and development requirements for own team and make recommendations for learning interventions

Education Requirement :

  • Necessary: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering 

Experience Requirement :

  • Necessary: - 9 to 12 years of experience in project management or maintenance with minimum 2 years as project manager of a medium size project or plant discipline head
