Job Responsibilities :
.
- Purpose of the Role - To carry out QA/QC activities for a particular discipline at the site, perform analytical work and investigate/ conduct root cause analysis & resolve quality issues in order to ensure on-spec product at all times by adhering to lab SOPs and safe work practices in line with implemented lab quality system

- Responsibilities -
- Policies, Procedure and Process Adherence -
- Adhere to standard test methods or work instructions and compliance to Quality system procedures
- Participate in various audits of lab quality systems including safety
- Follow applicable HSEF procedures/ practices with awareness about environmental statutory regulations
- Take initiative for trainings to enhance competencies and participation in training as per requirement
- Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
- Quality Control -
- Support shift in charge in shift co-ordination and testing of samples as per priority
- Receive samples of raw materials as per the requirement and track the quality of incoming raw material
- Provide right containers to collect samples, identify right carriers to distribute samples and designate right location for pre-testing storage
- Evaluate usability of the chemicals / standards that are utilized in testing
- Perform the tests by following step by step procedures. Confirm test results using validation techniques before reporting
- Detect deviations in test results and report to concerned stakeholders
- Perform on-spot mitigation in emergency situation under the guidance of the section head
- Identify, prepare and perform calibrations and working standards as per method protocol and schedule
- Carry out sample retention as per defined lab procedure for addressing issues with customers as per need
- Dispose left over samples safely as per SOP and co-ordinate with plant and other agencies for further actions
- Raise the requirement for availability of laboratory inventory (reagents, glassware, and equipment) in time. Ensure proper maintenance and storage of lab inventory
- Quality Assurance -
- Evaluate performance of additives and process chemicals using a range of selective and specific analytical techniques
- Monitor housekeeping & working conditions as per safety and work standards. Report unsafe act / unsafe condition to shift In charge / lab management for correction
- Maintain proper data entries of results recording in the raw data book / LIMS / process register and in the individual raw data book
- Conduct on the job training for analysts and new joiners in laboratory analytical work and Safety
Education Requirement :
Necessary: Bachelor's Degree in Science with specialization in Chemistry or Master's Degree in same domain (preferred)

Experience Requirement :
- Necessary: 0-3 years of experience in QA/QC discipline
- Desired:
- Computer knowledge with statistical skill to assess the reliability of test results
- Knowledge of test procedure and results reporting
- Knowledge of raw material, in process samples & finished product specifications and analysis
- Knowledge of specific equipment, calibration and validation procedures
- Knowledge of safety, F&G system, waste management, emergency preparedness and response
- Knowledge of LIMS and SAP QM operations
