Job Responsibilities :

End-to-end supply management of respective category Materials within parameters of targeted cost, quality and time, and support vertical head

Execute tactical sourcing for particular category

- Manage close alignment between Procurement Lead and Project buying teams for optimal sourcing execution in line with category strategies

- Guide buyers to execute as per short-term/ long-term Procurement Strategy for tactical sourcing under his/her control including: Supplier / Pricing / Contractual Relationships / Terms and Conditions / Lead Time

- Direct and review the following activities for the delegated category of materials/ services:

a. Supplier identification

b. Supplier qualification assessment and short-listing

c. Release of Request for Quotation/ Enquiry

d. Receipt of offers from suppliers

e. Preparation of comprehensive comparative statements

- Assist in the development of sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas and implement negotiation strategies for major buys

- Specify and check final commitments with suppliers according to approval thresholds

- Enforce inputs of FC&A and Legal teams are obtained

Assess set-up of Agreements with the finalized suppliers

 

Conduct Annual Procurement Planning & Budgeting for assigned tactical sourcing categories for the project

- Facilitate buyers to plan on the basis of the business requirements, and consolidate them to prepare necessary information

 - Set targets for each buyer

- Check spend vs. budget on a regular basis to capture variations

- Develop and implement actions plans to bring spend under control

 - Propose cost savings programs along with the P&C Planning & Strategy

- Achieve total lower cost ownership

 

Manage and develop people within the market segment group

 - Identify and review necessary capabilities needed within the market segment

 - Understand current capabilities within the group and define improvement requirements

- Align improvement requirements with individuals and define and agree training and career development plan

- Set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback to them

- Ensure high level of employee engagement and satisfaction and retention of key personnel


Education Requirement :

B.Tech / BE. Certification in Procurement would be an added advantage

Experience Requirement :

15 to 18 Years of experience in a similar set up or industry

Skills & Competencies :

- Analytical bend of mind

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Knowledge of equipment and process/maintenance activities

- Commercial acumen
