Job Responsibilities :

  • The Lead Planner plays an important role in project success. The responsibilities of a Lead planning engineer to oversee the planning and scheduling aspects of projects within an organization. Here are some key responsibilities
  • Project Planning - Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software.
  • Resource management - Estimate and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure project schedules are achievable and resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Schedule Management - Monitor and update project schedules regularly to reflect changes in scope, resource availability, or other factors that may impact project timelines.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project schedules and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Record events causing delays and notify concern stakeholder.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, schedule variances, and any potential issues or risks.
  • Change Management - Manage changes to project schedules, including assessing the impact of change requests and updating schedules accordingly. 
  • Coordination - Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, subcontractors to ensure alignment on project schedules and priorities.
  • Progress Meetings - Attend progress meetings and maintain MOM of meetings
  • Documentation - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to project schedules, including baseline schedules, updated schedules, progress reports, productivity report, change orders, EOT and delay events.
  • Performance Review - Analyses contractor#s performance and provide inputs during contractor#s performance review meeting. 
  • Lessons Learned - Maintain and update lessons learned and educate other planners during central planning meeting.

Education Requirement :

  • Post Graduate in Construction Management (NICMAR)
  • B.E / B Tech in Civil Engineering

Experience Requirement :

  • Necessary # 12 to 18 years relevant work experience
  • Desired - Experience is handling real estate projects
  • Hands on experience on MS Projects and Primavera
